Smart Notebook has made a lot of changes in the last little while that are meant to help teachers to move their classrooms from a teacher-centered, Smart-Board centred modality to more Student-Centered, indiviualized learning places.  They have created a number of ways to easily make your lessons interactive and facilitate formative assessment quickly and easily.

Over the next few blog posts, I will explore a variety of features in Smart Notebook, along with different ways that they might be used in your classrooms.

What I really like about these activities is that it makes formative assessment super quick and easy.  If your students have devices ready and around, it's quick for them to get to the website, and you as a teacher can very quickly walk around from computer to computer and see their screens, checking in to see which students are having troubles and which are not.

I also love that it doesn't matter what type of device your students have - they might have iPads, they might have Chrome-books, they might have MacBooks - all of them work equally well for these activities.
